24-Year-Old NFL Player KJ Hamler Steps Away from Broncos with Heart Issue
Another innocent victim of Climate Change?
Another day another untimely loss in the world of sports: “24-year-old NFL player KJ Hamler steps away from Broncos with heart issue, but says he intends to return” (CNN, 2023.07.31):
“After feeling some chest pains while working out on the break before camp started (last Tuesday), I got everything checked out and was diagnosed with mild heart irritation, called pericarditis,” Hamler wrote. “I’ve got a great treatment plan with medicine and am taking a quick break to get this all taken care of so I can get back to doing what I love.”
Pericarditis is inflammation in the layers of tissue lining the heart. It’s often caused by respiratory infections or conditions like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. It’s usually mild, clearing up in days or weeks with rest or over-the-counter medications. More severe cases may need surgery.
New euphemism - “mild heart irritation”, a.k.a. pericartitis. On top of “unidentified electrical problems” of the heart. Are we entering Middle Ages in the world of medicine?
And you know what else has been causing a lot of pericarditis, CNN? Yes, that thing you are complicit in. I hope your reckoning is nigh.
Back in Aug. 2021, KJ was placed “in Covid-19 protocol”:
KJ Hamler missed the first padded practice of the season Tuesday after the Broncos' speedy second-year receiver was placed in COVID-19 protocols, an NFL source told 9NEWS. It's unclear what the reason was Hamler being placed in the virus protocol as Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said, "he could be back here tomorrow."
Hamler, who was having a nice camp, told reporters last week he had received both vaccination shots but was not yet 14 days clear of the second shot.
As to the “intent to return”
“I will be back on the field – better and stronger than ever – as soon as possible this season! I feel great physically and this is very frustrating for me to deal with,” Hamler said. “I’ll get past this just like everything else on this journey! I will continue to elevate. I forever stand on business. This is not a farewell, this is not a good bye, this is a see you soon as I take a break for my health.”
, it’s not a given, but we wish you the best, KJ! Someone, ask KJ if he will jab again, if told so by the league. I am really interested to hear him muse about that.
This is BS framing. He's not 'stepping away' from the Broncos, the Broncos waived him after mandating that he get the jab in the first place. I hope he sues them so hard he becomes the new owner.
"Denver on Monday waived Hamler with a non-football illness – a roster designation for players who have suffered injuries or illness not related to football activities. Players starting the season on the list can be activated after the fourth regular season game, according to NFL.com."
Oh, so the fact that the COVID jabs are known to cause heart damage, and the fact that players were required to get the jabs, are just red herrings...
Got it.
