Did YOU Make Them Say THAT?
Anti-vaxxers tricked the Covid-19 establishment early on. You break it - you buy it?
As it turns out, the anti-vaxxers are weaponizing these innocuous and well-meaning statements, by mocking them:
“Head of CDC gets COVID after getting new bivalent booster, leading to 'push back and mocking'” (The National Post, 2022.10.25):
“I’m seeing the push back and mocking everywhere,” University of Alberta law professor Timothy Caulfield said of the response on social media to Walensky’s COVID diagnosis.
“The anti-vax community has effectively weaponized early statements from public health officials about transmission, which could have been better,” Caulfield said.
And not only public health officials, as we can see. Or was it THEM weaponizing the jabs early on? “Blame the victim” is such a popular game, always was.
As it also turns out, the “inventor” of the Covid-19 mRNA jabs didn’t have the appetite for them himself, at least early on (December 2020):
The poor thing “wasn’t allowed by law” to get it. But others were more than welcome, in his own words (AP Factcheck from December 2021, “Posts cite old interview to falsely claim BioNTech CEO isn’t vaccinated”):
Sahin also said it was “more important for us that our coworkers and partners get vaccinated.”
What a beautiful law indeed!
Coming back to the original National Post article above, it has started to promulgate yet another brand-new study claiming, yet again, that this is the pandemic of the unvaccinated:
A new study from the Washington State Department of Health [Oct.12, 2022] found that unvaccinated 12- to 64-year-olds were almost twice as likely to get COVID and three times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID than people with at least two doses of vaccine. In the 65-plus age group, the unvaccinated were 4.5 times more likely than the immunized to die.
I am a bit tired of this game of Whac-A-Mole: upon a closer inspection, there is always a string, or a spring, or a card up their sleeve. But, out of principle, we never let it fly. So, let’s have a closer look at this “new study”:
The new study counted cases, hospitalizations and deaths in the period of February 1, 2021 - October 1, 2022. No wonder they have more unvaccinated cases and hospitalizations, as most were unvaccinated at the peak of the pandemic and also most freshly-jabbed with floored immunity were also counted as “unvaccinated” when the initial jabbing (primary series) was taking place in massive numbers. But you have to read all the way down to page 11 of this “study” to discover this.
What’s more, even with this sleight of hand they only could crow about the death numbers in unvaccinated 65+ years old. In their own words:
Deaths are only shown for Washingtonians 65 years old and older due to the relatively smaller number of deaths in other age groups and associated instability in rates when assessing by vaccination status.
Smaller numbers of deaths in the unvaccinated under-65s relatively to the vaccinated, I take it. Thanks, eh?
To be fair, they do show this graph for the deaths in 65+ Washingtonians:
But how do they count the jabbed within 2 weeks of the latest jab? It is obvious from this graph that the vaccination waves precede Covid-19 65+ deaths in the “unvaccinated”, even more so than in the “vaccinated”:
Therefore, I am certain that they count freshly jabbed as “unvaccinated” - it’s a tradition by now. If you doubt this argument, then consider that the evidence from around the globe is pouring in, as we speak, to the fact that the ones jabbed more times are more prone to getting sick and dying from Covid. E.g., read my post “$cience Fiction in Canada COVID-19 Epidemiology Updates” (2022.10.06).
