Gaslighting Canadian Parents about Pupil Immunization

A gentle misinformation campaign by the mainstream media.

Read this title, “More than 9,000 elementary students facing suspension due to overdue vaccination records” (CTV News, 2023.02.09), and you’d think school students in Canada are mandated to be jabbed with mandated jabs. Look into the article itself:

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) is informing parents there are still 9,069 elementary school students who could be suspended due to incomplete immunization records.

WECHU said these students are either overdue for one or more of the vaccines required by the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) R.S.O.1990 or have yet to submit their records to the health unit.

The ISPA requires students to be vaccinated against several diseases and illnesses including measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, among others.

What to do, what to do! Here’s helpful hints from CTV News:

WECHU says there are different options for parents and guardians to get their children up to date on their immunization and share those records with the health unit including:

•  Submit updated immunization records to WECHU online, by phone at 519-960-0231 or 1-800-265-5822 ext. 1222, or through fax at 519-258-7288.

•  Contact their healthcare provider to get information and to receive any missing vaccinations. Parents/guardians will need to update this information with the Health Unit.

•  Book an appointment at a WECHU Immunization Clinic

As it turns out, nothing can be further from the truth.

Somewhere between these two massive loads of bull, CTV News admits, in passing, that:

Under the ISPA , children can be exempted from immunization for medical reasons or due to conscience or religious belief.

If fact, this is what is in the Act:

Duty of parent

3 (1) The parent of a pupil shall cause the pupil to complete the prescribed program of immunization in relation to each of the designated diseases.  R.S.O. 1990, c. I.1, s. 3 (1); 2021, c. 4, Sched. 11, s. 17 (1).

Exception

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the parent of a pupil in respect of the prescribed program of immunization in relation to a designated disease specified by a physician or a registered nurse in the extended class in a statement of medical exemption filed with the proper medical officer of health and, where the physician or registered nurse in the extended class has specified an effective time period, only during the effective time period.  2007, c. 10, Sched. E, s. 2; 2021, c. 4, Sched. 11, s. 17 (1).

Same, statement of conscience or religious belief

(3) Subsection (1) does not apply to a parent who has completed an immunization education session with a medical officer of health or with a medical officer of health’s delegate that complies with the prescribed requirements, if any, and who has filed a statement of conscience or religious belief with the proper medical officer of health. 2017, c. 11, Sched. 2, s. 2; 2021, c. 4, Sched. 11, s. 17 (1).

All you have to do, as a responsible Canadian parent, is to listen to some mumbo-jumbo from a nurse trying to talk some jabbination admiration into you and then say: “No, thanks, but no - my conscience is against this crap”.

It’s not that the Act so so magnanimous. It’s that, in Canada, the bodily autonomy (a.k.a. security of a person) is constitutionally enshrined . All the Act does is to not contradict the Constitution.

So, do not judge an article by its title, not in these days. All they want is to confuse you to the point of giving up your limb and life, voluntarily. And they had some admirable successes on that front recently with Covid experimental extermination potions, “recreational” drugs, and assisted euthanasia for all. Did I forget anything?
