New data shows Nova Scotia recently experienced its largest number of excess deaths — deaths above what would be normally anticipated — since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Statistics Canada's excess mortality tracker was updated to include the four-week period of Nov. 27 to Dec. 24, 2022. There were 262 more deaths in the province than expected.
N.S. Health Department spokesperson Khalehla Perrault said there were 73 COVID-19 deaths in November and December 2022. Based on preliminary data, the province believes there were 62 deaths last year from opioid overdoses. That number is not unusually high — there were higher numbers in 2012, 2014 and 2017.
Tim Caulfield, a misinformation expert who is the Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy at the University of Alberta, said he's worried that excess deaths will be "weaponized" by people who spread misinformation.

Not from car crashes and not from drug overdoses, according to the article. Remember the time when we were told that “People vaccinated against Covid-19 less likely to die from any cause” (CNN, 2021.10.22), including in car accidents: “New Study Links COVID-19 Vaccination Status to Increased Risk of Car Crashes”(Jalopnik, 2022.12.14). What gives? The saving grace, according to Timothy, is that "it's happening internationally, and in fact there have been studies that have explored this very question, so [there's] no evidence to support it [the deaths caused by the jabs]".
Let me agree with the esteemed “misinformation guru” - weaponize we will, right away! So, no Covid in sight, the N.S. seniors jabbed to the hilt, yet people keep dying in excess numbers: 262 [in the article, actually 97 according to the graph below] excess deaths in a single last month of record, yet the grand total of 841 people in the province have died from COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, and that is in full 3 years, or 36 months. Was the massive use of untested experimental jabs worth the risk?
How massive, you ask? According to Nova Scotia vaccination data, about 106% of 80+ have been fully jabbed, and 102% of 70-79, all others are not far behind:
It would be funny if it wasn’t scary: the N.S. seniors are doomed. As seems to be everybody else in that beautiful province… It means that if 5% of 80+ still remain unjabbed, there are 10% less people in this age cohort as compared to 2020. If 10% of 80+ remain unjabbed (which is reasonable and comparable to other jurisdictions), it shrank by 15%. Regardless of about 30% of 70-80 that advanced into 80+ during 2020-2022.
