In a meeting of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday, director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus sounded an alarm that the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over.
“The threat of another variant emerging that causes new surges of disease and death remains,” Tedros said. “And the threat of another pathogen emerging with even deadlier potential remains.”
I have often pondered whether those proposing or doing putting things in the atmosphere to reflect sunlight to mimic the effects of volcanic ash, have pondered what if we do this and then there is also a lot volcanic activity!!
The low CO2 level is our best chance of extinction yet. Evidence suggests that during the last few ice ages (glaciations) our CO2 level has fallen. The coming glaciation (500 - 1500) years suggests an even lower 140 ppm (or even lower) may be possible.
