This was the email sent out to the Waterloo Catholic Schools this past week:

"Dear Waterloo Catholic District School Board Families,

As per the Immunization of School Pupils Act, students in the Waterloo Region with outdated immunization records or outstanding immunizations have been issued suspension orders via the Region of Waterloo Public Health.

For any complaints or questions regarding the Immunization of School Pupils Act, we recommend contacting Public Health directly at 519-575-4400.

We understand that this may be a stressful time for families, and we urge everyone to exercise courtesy and lead with kindness when speaking with office and school staff. Our team is doing their utmost to accommodate the needs of students while adhering to the requirements set out by Public Health and in legislation"

There’s absolutely no reason they’d have any qualms to do this, given their comfort and confidence.
