As I have remarked in “"Sudden and Unexpected" Hospital Staff Shortages All Over Canada” on Aug. 3, no one wants to call a spade a spade.

And now, we have “a sudden surge of patients“, as CTV New reports yesterday in “Ontario hospital warns 'much longer' than expected emergency department wait times”:

An Ontario hospital is warning patients to anticipate “much longer” than expected wait times due to “rapidly changing demands” in their emergency department.

Demand is good for business, isn’t it?

Dr. Andrew Arcand, Chief of Emergency Medicine at Markham Stouffville Hospital, said an “incredible flow of patients” entered the emergency department during the overnight period between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Not even on the weekend, eh?

“I do think that if you have a new symptom that you are worried about or that’s severe…we will not judge you, we will always see you,” Arcand said.

However, he suggested visiting urgent care walk-in clinics, virtual assessments or a family doctor’s office, for those who have.

Basically, get off our face. Go away and die!

So, why is that flow? What are the ailments? Any insights? Nop! Not even a hint. That tells volumes. “Safe and effective” has morphed into “sudden and unexpected”, and from there into “massive and predictable”. Just as we were saying all along.

To their credit, they have just released a study yesterday that says “Increased demand for paramedic transports contributes to emergency department wait times in Canada”. The study covers the period of 2010-2019, how insightful. And if people just stopped calling 911…

So, will we get the 5th now and the 6th a month or two later, or should we skip the 5th in eager anticipation of the fall’s new-and-improved booster? That will “protect” you from harmless Omicron

'We will not judge you"....you've been selected for traits that make you judges of whom you view as the unhealthy, stupid riff raff and trained to believe you're superior. Won't judge? Were that so we wouldn't have abortion, euthanasia, sterilization and forced jabs constantly held up as golden calves by Medicine. Sure, some few have hearts or codes of ethics. Many more are complicit, not knowing what to say, have golden calves of their own to defend or are just evil narcissistic bastards.

Love how you are thinking like a medical tyrant ... that's how they will roll...over everyone again who hasn't a clue about what safe and effective really means ,with apparently no needed data for the newish ones ( future framework ) and of course , no informed consent . Are the veterinarians getting more walk in visits from people wanting early treatment? In my opinion, a more viable option.
